Established in 1997, Better Built Trailers is owned and operated by Mike Bainter. Better Built Trailers started out small, manufacturing over 100 trailers the first year. Due to customer requests at the time Mike started adding other manufacturers lines to meet customer demands. To date we sell trailers manufactured by PJ Trailers, Load Trail, Travalong Trailers, Titan Trailers, Doolittle Trailers, North American Cargo, selling over 500 trailers per year.

Better Built Trailers currently has over 200 trailers on hand and always keeps a large variety of trailers in inventory. We are located in Grainfield , Kansas which is in the Northwest corner of Kansas , about 240 miles east of Denver, Colorado, 60 miles west of Hays, Kansas, 100 miles north of Dodge City, Kansas, and 80 miles south of McCook, Nebraska. Our customers come from a very large area due to the fact that we have the best prices, the best service and we have the trailer for all your needs.

The shop keeps very busy installing hitches, brake controls, flatbeds, grill guards and trailer repairs and manufacturing. Grill guards and flatbeds are installed everyday. We also have a delivery service and Stretch, our driver, will deliver your trailer anywhere in the Midwest for a very, very reasonable rate, currently $1.75 per loaded mile.
